This was the last race of the season, Rali insists: the 5-Mile Turkey Trot in Alexandria, VA, on Thanksgiving morning. She finished in a blistering 37:30, a 7:30-per-mile pace. Here is the information from her wrist GPS. Depending on your browser and add-ins, you might be able to “fly” over and watch her race path.
Unfortunately, our camera battery died during the race, so we don’t have any evidence of her finish…you’ll have to trust us! Here are a couple photos of Rali and the kids before the race, though.

After days and days of threatening to lose his front tooth, Kelvin finally let it go on November 11.

The tooth he lost was the one that he chipped way back when we lived in Nigeria, so he had a smile like a hockey player even before we went to Canada. Here’s how he looked with his front tooth in, in his school photo from October 2008.

Rali and the kids enjoyed a great four-day, 130-mile bike trip on the C&O Towpath from November 1-4. Photos from the trip are here on Rali’s Facebook album, where she’s written up the story of her trip. You don’t need to be a Facebook user to see the photos. They had a great trip! Go over to that link to see the whole batch, but here are just a couple photos from the trail.

Here’s one from Day Three of the trip.
