Rich arrived in Welcome Lake, Pennsylvania, after five days and four nights of driving across the country. The last day’s drive, from Fremont, Ohio, was 483 miles. Here’s the total, five-days-and-four-nights drive from Calgary to Beach Lake, PA.
All of us are avid Hash House Harriers, and we enjoyed hashing in Calgary with Canada’s oldest hash (over 25 years now!). We planned our departure from Calgary on a Tuesday morning so we could enjoy one last hash on Monday night, and it was a classic, with good food, a raging river, and hungry mosquitoes galore. Kelvin turns six years old today, July 23. He, Carmen, Kristof, and Rali are all in Pennsylvania already: they arrived last night after a long–but problem-free–trip from Calgary. Rali should have email access today (“rali” at this site). Rich is in Havre, Montana, with a few more days’ drive ahead before he’s back together with the family, so he has no photos of Kelvin on his 6th birthday yet…but here’s an old one from six years ago, to remember what he used to look like!
