Sometimes the snow comes down in June…
On the weekend of June 7-8, 2008, we enjoyed a delightful weekend at the excellent Delta Lodge in Kananaskis. It’s less than an hour’s drive from our home in Calgary, but it’s in the mountains, in a beautiful location. You might remember it from the news as the site of the G8 summit meeting in 2002. Anyway, it was a wonderful experience, as it’s been each time we’ve stayed there. This time, we were surprised by a summer snowstorm…but the kids loved it anyway! Here are a few photos from the weekend.
We may not have been prepared with winter coats and gloves, but the kids didn’t mind!

While out for a walk in the woods, the kids were surprised when some deer stepped out right in front of them. Look between the trees in this photo, and you’ll see just how close they were.
